FEPSA is governed by a high sense of professional responsibility and ethics, as well as by principles of integrity, transparency and good faith. Mutual respect is an essential value, with fundamental commitments to social and environmental responsibility and strict compliance with legal regulations applicable to its sector of activity.

FEPSA is committed to reflect in its actions ethical values common to society, such as preventing and combating corruption and related offences, harassment and discrimination, and protecting whistleblowers. It promotes honesty and fairness, responsibility, transparency and trust in its relationship with its various stakeholders.

On this page, FEPSA publishes the main management and awareness-raising instruments on Ethics and Conduct, which reflect the principles and values on which the organizational ethical culture is centered.

Under the terms and for the purposes of Law no. 93/2021, of December 20th (General Regime for the Protection of Whistleblowers) and Decree-Law no. 109-E/2021, of December 9th (General Regime for the Prevention of Corruption), FEPSA has an internal whistleblowing channel (Ethics Line)), a safe space through which any infraction that falls within the scope of these laws can be reported, as well as, in particular, any non-compliance with the rules contained in this Code of Ethics and Conduct, without prejudice to the fact that the infraction may be reported to the competent authorities.

Employees and all those who deal with FEPSA may use this Code, either anonymously or by identifying themselves, whenever they suspect non-compliance, as long as they act in good faith and have serious grounds for believing that the information provided is true.

In strict compliance with FEPSA’s values, which have been explained here, the confidentiality and strict secrecy of reports received, and the protection of whistleblowers are guaranteed. Any acts of retaliation against whistleblowers and the witnesses indicated are prohibited.

Any offence may be reported in writing through the channels set up for this purpose:

by email to the following address: etica@fepsa.pt

by letter (with the subject ‘whistleblowing channel’ on the envelope), addressed to the following address: FEPSA Ethics Committee, Rua de Cucujães, no. 192, 3700-096 São João da Madeira, Portugal.

Any complaint can also be submitted verbally and in person to any member of the Ethics Committee, so that the complaint can be registered.

Complaints submitted verbally are recorded by recording the communication on a durable and retrievable medium, when provided the complainant consents to this, or by means of reliable minutes drawn up for this purpose, allowing the complainant to view, rectify and approve them, signing them.

Complaints will be followed up and decided upon independently, impartially and confidentially by the Ethics Committee.
